Before the Coming of Ramadhan

Before the Coming of Ramadhan

‘Umar Ibn-Qays رحمه الله said:

“Glad tidings upon the one who rectifies himself before the coming of Ramadan.”

[Lataa’if al-Ma’aarif | 138]

Ramadhan is a cherished guest that graces us only once a year, and we can never be certain which visit may be our final one. It is reported that the Salaf, including the Sahaba (Companions) and the Tabi’een, along with esteemed scholars, would begin their preparations for Ramadan six months in advance. This practice underscores the significance of this holy month and highlights the necessity of preparing oneself ahead of time to fully embrace its blessings.

Some ways to prepare for Ramadhan, may it serve to be beneficial:

Renew your intention for Ramadhan

Learn about the Fiqh of Ramadhan

Dont miss Salah (𝘥𝘰 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘳𝘴)

Prepare your dunya to prioritise your Deen (𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘘𝘶𝘳’𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴/ 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘭𝘮/ 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘣𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘩/𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴/ 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘦𝘵𝘤)

May Allah grant us the opportunity to witness Ramadan and assist us in fulfilling it with excellence.
